1968 427 Corvette Red Automatic T-Top frame off restoration
Frame off restoration 2011/2012. California car, parked in garage from 1978 to 2010. Odometer read 57K, did not function so was replaced, only 400 miles added since restoration. T-top automatic, rebuilt turbo 400. Rebuilt 427 dyno-ed at 423HP. Power windows, power steering, power brakes. Original engine code was “decked” off in the past, re-stamped TO531IQ. Block casting #3935439 E138 (May 13, 1968), Heads are June 3, 1968, rear-end code AW May 17, 1968. Car kept as original as possible, several bins of original parts and documentation included. VIN number on frame is correct. Only known issues are a bad buff area with small crack under rear bumper, can see only if lying on ground, speedometer is off 5-8 mph. Car was our uncles and have several before, during and after restoration pictures. Have original build sheet from gas tank.
