The LT-1 engine was introduced in a Corvette in 1970 and was a $483 engine upgrade. The LT-1 engine consisted on a 4 bolt main block, forged crankshaft and rods, forged pistons, high flow heads, mechanical lifters, high lift camshaft, dual plane intake and a Holley carburetor. The LT-1 package made this special 350 scream. Only 1,741 LT-1’s were built for 1972 and less then 10% reportedly were LT-1 Convertibles.
