This is a hand forged Bowie knife that has been heat treated, oil quenched, and deferentially tempered for maximum edge retention. The handle is made from a piece of purple heart wood. The knife features a hidden tang design. The handle is held on by a two part epoxy and a brass pin for added stability. Included is a kydex sheath that allows the knife to be slipped into a belt for quick carry. The blade was forged from a piece of 5160 spring steel from a piece of spring leaf that came off a truck.
