Ruby – Parure of the French Crown

This stunning ruby ​​tiara from the legendary treasure of the French crown is said to now be in the possession of Niarchos, his wife who wore it at the wedding of King Constantine of Greece to Princess Annemarie in Athens.

Above is one of the few pictures of this tiara in its original form.

This parure also includes a pair of bracelets with rubies and diamonds, now on display in the Louvre. The necklace was auctioned in 1981 for 900,000 Swiss francs; its whereabouts are unknown.
