All the tell tale signs were noted during the restoration to solidify the Hot Rod Magazine article that this was in fact an original SS 396 (BB heater core, BB cross member, date correct 12 bolt posi rear, proper fuel lines, as well as front 4 piston power disc brakes). Car has the original hood, floor, doors, and trunk. car came with n.o.s. fenders had installed, had to replace the 1/4s on the car (installed a pair of high quality full panels). Decided to bring the car back to its original rare P1 color combination, Sea Frost Green (less than 3% built this color in 1968) with a white top. To be honest I have rebuilt 5 prior first generation Camaros and never even seen a car this color, it is a Beautiful color.
All new bushings, shocks, suspension, all new brake lines, and rebuilt brake components, compete new Flowmaster exhaust system, new under dash wire harness. All original glass in the car minus a replacement windshield, replaced gas tank and fuel lines. All electrical works, minus the original radio that is installed but inop, not sure who in there right mind would want a radio with the beautiful bello from the 4 speed 396?
15×7 rallys in front staged by 15×8 in rear, new radial t/a tires. The rebuilt 396 was brought back properly with a cast intake and Holly 4 barrel carb, engine has less than 600 miles on it.
Car runs and drives very nicely, a serious car for a serious buyer clean SC title in hand. Of course any serious bidder is welcome to come see/drive the car in person prior to the end of auction.
