This item is a hand forged Bowie knife that features an S shaped guard made of mild steel. The handle is made out of black walnut which has 2 brass pins (.125) to further help secure the tang to the handle. The blade length is about 8 inches long. The sheath is made of Kydex and includes a removable belt clip.
The blade itself is forged from a piece of 5160 spring steel that came from a truck leaf spring. The steel was oil quenched and differential tempered so that the spine is softer than the edge.
